Raisi expresses hope for Israeli massacre in Gaza to end in 2024

TEHRAN- Ebrahim Raisi, the President of Iran, expressed hope that in the New Year, the international community will act swiftly to stop Israel’s slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza.

In separate messages on Sunday, Raisi extended congratulations to the leaders and people of Christian countries on the arrival of the New Year.

He asked God Almighty to provide all peoples on the planet a year of health and peace.

According to Raisi, one of the greatest issues confronting human civilization at the moment is the Israeli regime’s murder of innocent people in the Gaza Strip.

President Raisi expressed optimism that the international community will move swiftly on the eve of 2024, in light of the joint efforts of global leaders, to put an end to Israel’s slaughter in Gaza, abolish tyranny and hegemony, and achieve long-lasting peace and security across the world.

After Hamas launched the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying regime in reaction to its decades-long campaign of killing and destruction in Palestine, Israel launched the U.S.-backed war on Gaza.

Israeli regime killed 21,822 Palestinians, the majority of them are women and children, and injured 56,451 others, with numerous bodies still buried beneath debris.

Despite the grim statistics, the U.S. continues its aids to the Zionist regime. Recently, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed gratitude to the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden for its continued support during the war, including the approval of a new emergency weapons sale, the second this month.

Western governments have been taking concerted efforts to prevent a ceasefire in the besieged Gaza Strip. Israeli crimes in the impoverished territory have also barely elicited criticism from politicians in the West. Israel says it will only stop bombing Gaza once it has made sure that the enclave no longer poses any security threats to the regime. Many believe those remarks presage a full-scale genocide in Gaza.
